Christening seating plan template
At a christening almost everyone is family, there are lots of children and the godparents’ table matters most. This template helps you tidy the list and think about the tables before you talk to the restaurant.

The CSV has the columns Seatalia recognises. Replace the example rows with your guests, one person per row.
Separate by family
Use the group column for “Mother’s family”, “Father’s family”, “Godparents” and “Friends”. This is what the tables are built from.
Mark the children
In the adult or child column, write “child” for anyone who still needs a children’s menu. That way you know how many seats the children’s table needs.
Reserve the special tables
One for the godparents, the parents and the baby, another for the children. The rest are for families, with 8 seats.
Import into Seatalia
Choose “Christening” and the room already comes with the godparents’ table and the children’s table. You only have to add the families.
What to ask the restaurant
Ask for the number of seats at each table and whether they can push two rectangular tables together. Also ask whether there are high chairs and a children’s menu, so you can write it in the meal column.
Frequently asked questions
Do babies count on the list?
Only if they take up a seat. A baby on a lap doesn’t need a chair, but add them to the list if the restaurant asks for the total number of people.
Can I change the type of event later?
Yes. Changing the type only changes the wording; the tables you’ve already created stay as they are.
Move the list onto the tables
Import the CSV and Seatalia suggests the godparents’ table and the children’s table.
